As the Van pulled up I could see the wide smile across Esther’s face. The door couldn’t open fast enough; she ran into my arms almost knocking me over. She was so excited to see her “Opa” again and couldn’t get enough of him. It was wonderful to have her with us once again!

Oh My goodness she is getting so big. Looks like she is finally taller than her Oma. Not that hard to do, but very cute!

I know that Our Lady was looking down on you with love. Between your journaling and Ron's photography, the people and countryside of Rwanda come alive for all of us to enjoy. Esther has matured into a pretty young lady. How blessed we are in America.
i did not recognize her, i thought it was one of the older girls. what a beautiful picture of joyce and esther. have enjoyed traveling along with you,and have shed a few tears of my own, while looking at the incredible photos and reading the text. my heart is with you.much love

Aunt Joyce, please say hello to Esther from me. Even though I've not yet met her, I'm sure I'll be seeing her once she arrives in Oregon. Tell her that we're proud of her hard work and patience.
